The vast expanses of the crystal clear shallow lagoons and open waters provide an ideal setting for water sports enthusiasts. waters are quite calm and current is moderate, this is an ideal destination for new divers while more experience divers will not be disappointed with the rich marine biodiversity and unspoilt reefs.
The dive sites at Lakshadweep consists of sloping reefs, caves, coral gardens, overhangs, shipwrecks and some drift diving. Bangaram and Kavaratti tend to see more visitors while Kadmat and Minicoy are quiet and remote. Both Bangaram and Minicoy offer wreck dives while there are caves to explore off Kavaratti. PADI certified instructors impart training to beginners as well as experienced.
The Laccadives Kadmat Dive School tourism offers beginner to advanced courses throughout the season (1st October to 1st May). The center caters to certified divers as well. This is the only Dive school in India offering CMAS certification courses from Beginner (1 Star) to Instructor levels.
